Tyson is closing their emporia ks plant

One more baby step toward eating soylent green.

 

I feel bad for the 200 employees transferring to Holcomb. Nothing like moving from the Flint Hills to Old Mexico.

 

Something strange is going on here. That plant has been closed for years. We use it as a warehouse and distribution hub for beef and pork. I’m not sure where we’re hiding 800 employees. The employee parking lot is empty and used for bobtails. Is there another plant on 6th street that I’m unaware of?

 

Apparently they still do some packaging. The kill side is long gone. I’m still not sure where all of those employees are…

 

If you exit the guard shack and turn right instead of left employee parking is back that way

 

Been many moons since I’ve been there. Can’t say I miss dealing with those meat plants that much. Or dealing with the bloody messes from hauling those loads, especially combo bins.

yeah, I noticed the pens back there, but not the parking. I wonder if this has to do with a certain couple of buildings being built in Clarksville and Olathe?

 

Me: Hello? 911? I've been robbed!

911: We will send an officer right out.

Me: Thank you.

Officer: Were you the one who was robbed?

Me: Yes. Sir Scrappy stole my meme!

Officer: It's not illegal to steal memes. I am charging you with misusing 911. You are under arrest.

Me: But I was robbed!

Officer: I am not amused.
