I prefer the looks of either a 379 or w9 anyday. I drive a freightshaker classic xl, and that isnt too bad of a looking truck either. I drove a t2 for a little while, and sure it road good, but I couldnt wait to get back to my long hood.

IMHO, there is nothing that looks better than a W900 or 379 with a big chrome bumper up front, low sleeper with a set of horns on the roof.
Chrome fuel tanks, wheels and a good paint job.
Too bad they suck for mileage. (compared to the aerodynamic newer styles)
    Drove W900's for years.
I drive a T2000 now, but I still love those old Petes and Kenworths.

Fuel will depend on what you are doing with it as well. Water, rock, and low boys in a few hundred mile radius it is really a wash. My red w9 has a 550 c15 with an 18spd and it averages high 3's. The same as pretty much all the trucks out here that stop and go constantly, idle a lot, and spend too much time off road.

If I were making a living driving 3000 miles a week I might feel differently. Otr I drove kw t600's and for a somewhat aero cab, they weren't awful looking but ever since coming off the road and running 500-1000 miles a week, hoods all the way.

don't blame your age for bad taste

I don't ### think so. I may be driving company junk, but if I was to own it would be something a hell of alot nicer.

I love seeing an old cabover. Theres a guy in my city who I swear drives an old cabover as a daily driver. Old black Peterbilt. I see him all the time bobtailing at night around the hood. Always try to get him on the CB but he never comes back. The guys like a legend where I live.
