If you buy a Freightshaker and want a autobot.......get it with the Freightliner gearbox.
    It is designed for it.

DD15 with DT12 is turning out to be an ultra reliable combination. Durable, efficient, and almost wheel holder proof. In the hands of someone who has taken the time learning how to properly utilize it, it is magnificent.

I had a dd15 with ultrashift + and liked it. The gearbox itself is a standard bulletproof 13 speed, the gear change and clutch are automated so its not a true auto like a car, it still has a clutch its just shifted by a omputer.

The clutches wear out around 500k miles, the electronic clutch actuators usually get around 800k, and more or less the same for the shifters. Actuator and xy shifters are the better part of 2k fitted, so not dear compared to length of life.

The wiring harnesses gave me a few problems on my truck, as they age they corrode quite quickly and replacement is the only sensible option but it takes at least 5 years for the harnesses to start to fail.

I liked the autoshift+ and have only changed it as it was now cost effective to buy a newer truck, I went for the DD15 and DT12 and am happy so far
