Not to divulge too much information, but he has a disability that requires reasonable accommodations. They chose to go the route of the most inefficient "reasonable accommodation" that takes a half day to complete, thereby cutting his ability to drive by over half each day.

or he can take the path of least resistance and find a job with a company that appreciates hard working safe drivers

The deaf driver just needs to move on to a company that wants a hard working driver with a clean driving record.
if he’s got no tickets and a clean csa score , finding a job with a company that can collect the huge tax credits for hiring a disabled person shouldn’t be that difficult .Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
