Unloading a Reefer some furniture is a challange.

    In #### near 30 years of moving furniture. Never had a sofa that couldn't be moved with a two wheel hand truck. Wheels casters or what have you. It's all about balance and center of gravity

    It’s because the height not the weight. They make them longer now. In reefer with the Shute down the middle they have to take more of the weight to keep from dragging it along the Shute.

    If this sort of load is common for you, carry two 4x8 sheets of half-inch plywood in the trailer. On loads that they are not needed for, set them next to a front pallet. On loads like this, put them in the back of the truck.

    Put the two sheets on the reefer deck so you have a good rolling surface. Roll on one, then when the other is clear, leapfrog the unused sheet behind the sheet that the load is on.

    It's a bit of a pain, and costs you 100 lbs or so of cargo capacity, but it completely eliminates the problem of narrow wheeled unloading tools on reefer decks.
