Morning people! I got a 07 Columbia that has a tire wear issue at the drivers side steer. The opposite steer is beautifully warring and so was he drivers at a point. I don’t have centramatics and iv always had a little play in the steering which I chalked to the alignment on the rears. The wesr pattern is a camber type on both sides of the tires. I researched kingpins causing this on one wide and I expect it could possibly cause wear on both like I have. The shape is like so /-\.

maybe something is causing it to spend time on both sides of the tire. Any suggestions. Thx!

I'd start with bearing adjustments. Make 100 sure you have the proper preload set then go from there.

Loose bearings as said above and Bad tie rod end on that side could cause that wear also. If loose enough it can cause wheel toe to rock in and out while traveling.

Maybe this is too obvious but I assume you checked the pressure first? That's also classic "under inflated" wear pattern.

While I gotcha. Would you say this is JUST a loose clamp? Anybody know what that silver piece is and what is its primary purpose? Thx!

Looks like there was some foreign material that got molded into either the tread itself or between the last steel ply and tread rubber. With the pressure of driving on it and the tread wearing down it opened up the cavities. This is a manufacturing defect and should be covered under workmanship warranty. Foreign material can be anything from dirt, air, scrap pieces of rubber or cord, and tools. Yes. I have seen whole combination wrenches or screw drivers molded in tires. Lol.
