UPDATE/FMCSA issues interim rule on truck driver hours of service

All of these laws and regulations are stressing drivers out not to mention confusing them. The laws are cut and dried if your a lawyer! If you read the full length versions...wow. What I think if happening is they have a generation coming that actually believes what they (the feds) are doing is for their (drivers) own good. In others we have a problem. This is not just happening in trucking its happening everywhere.
Sadly, these (groups) filing the lawsuits and the FMCSA are getting away with using data from college studies that NO ONE ELSE GIVES ANY MERIT TO. Its a total shame and does not look like it will stop anytime soon.
No idle, HOS- 34 hr restart, false data on the fatigue issue. I mean they come up with that study from Central Florida at the last minute....come on. How do they even get away with this.
Stopping us for sailing mud flaps....8 inches with a 45 MPH wind coming straight...ya they might lift a bit.
Its just getting to the point to call it like it is THEY WANT THE O/O,SMALL COMPANIES OUT. Like I said not just trucking the EPA is doing this to all kinds of smaller businesses...Why? Big companies don't want us there. I'm not some occupy wall street guy I'm just sick to see where my country is going.
What makes me worry the most is to hear citizens that do not see what is happening! Wake up people!
So get on here and bash me if you want but I strongly believe that I can run my own life I do not need the government to do this for me.
Heard of the PROLONGED DENTENTION. LOOK IT UP! The first draft did not exclude US citizens. This law is a perfect example of how far they are willing to go.
I just fear the day we hear " Just get on the train...I swear its just cheaper to get you to your new job this way"
Scary, scary government. They are laughing their ###### off at what they are getting by with.
