US 67 in Arkansas is flooding due to huge rain tonight that won't quit.

Between roughly Kensett, Searcy down to around Jacksonville can expect flooding to be actively occuring and if it's bad enough closure is a possibility first between Searcy and Beebe, then Beebe to Ward-Cabot and later Jacksonville at the Jacks Bayou above the Air base mm11.

If you are expecting to use 64 shortcut to Conway etc to US 67 north, forget it. Find a parking spot and wait until morning.

The weather is just a overture to the main storm systems expected tomorrow most of the day into the night. So you can pretty much expect that flooding will be a problem. You can use highway 5, highway 107 with caution, there is a bridge south of El Paso that will remain open until flooded by all the water focusing against Highway 67 and the area west of Searcy is unknown while the old 67 to the east of the freeway can expect to be flooded as might Georgetown etc.

We have been hit by 4 inches and counting so far. Usually we can take a 8 inch hit before flooding, But the weather has been very bountiful in rain very fast tonight so the water is up already and not going away any time soon.
