I would venture that only .005% of 42 year olds would physically qualify.

That seems a really hard path to take for the later half of a working life. Guess it can makes sense when its looking like China, Russa, and US are dividing up the world to become ol pals. All have Nuclear so its a stalemate regardless, but someone has to do the ground work to get the job done.
The big 3 will take what they want, and the sooner the lessor concedes the easier it is for all as long as you want to be who is taking. The only solution for the lesser country is to Nuke up, otherwise your an easy target against seemingly endless defense budgets. Canada, Cuba, Iceland; Taiwan, Tibet, Bhutan, Sth China Sea; Ukraine, Crimea, Moldova etc. Diplomacy seems to taken a distant back seat as ego and aggression still prevails regardless of all the sons and daughters that have fallen before.TurkeyCreekJackJohnson and Numb Thank this. -
Young people don’t want or desire to join the military why this is happening. They want to smoke pot and become a social media star. I worked around a bunch of 18-20 year olds on a dock recently and they have no concept of money. They had a job that they could move up and make 100k+ year as a truck driver in their 20’s. They would say “oh that’s cool I’m gonna go to college.” Some of these people weren’t bright enough to me for college. Could be wrong but that’s just my observation.

Think a good part of why kids or even parents have no concept of money is largely due to credit cards If you have $100 in your pocket, that is all you have. In saying that I have never been robbed financially until I started using the internet, and now its multiple times a year. Of which my bank fees are paying for the banks insurance, so I can get refunded.
Reckon the kids of today can also sense their governance uses them as a porn. May always have, but there is a lot less pride going around these days.Radman and TurkeyCreekJackJohnson Thank this. -
Yes, Trump had to order the enlistment age increase. Ignorant plebe. Everything isn't about you.

You’re not wrong. I just talked to a guy the other day. His boss wants to pay for him to get a CDL so he can drive truck, his pay would go up substantially. The dude has a wife and kid, but he said he can’t give up pot. Not gonna do it.Numb, jaffles, Radman and 1 other person Thank this.

I had 2 guys in my Boot Camp, both were just at the cut off at the time, 32yo. They struggled with the PT. The running mostly. 1 made it (barely) and the other washed back a cycle and completed 2 weeks later. The one that washed back said he was so scared of washing out that he ran as if he had the devil behind him.wulfman75, TheLoadOut and OldeSkool Thank this.
