What is the condition of that road? It looks like only an hour more to stick to interstates 84 and 15. An hour is completely worth the time if route 93 is too bumpy for either of us to sleep. Quite frankly I have seen instances where we are actually faster sticking to the interstates than taking a more direct route on state routes and highways.

What is your grade for route 93?

    Thanks

US 93 is a very good highway. It’s in very good condition better than most of the interstates. And not a whole lot of traffic either

Also, one of the most scenic drives in the country in winter when there is snow on the mountains. Depending on where in Idaho you are, 15 would probably be more than an hour extra because it's about an extra 120 miles.

If you go that way you will want to take 6 in Ely to 318, and that will join back up with 93. If you stay on 93 it will add some time and more pulling/corners. Very good trucking on 318.

You Idaho guys with the down playing- you mean 6% grades and winding roads virtually all 2 lane.
That said you can run it 200’ long or 17’ wide no problem, it’s just slow with no services food fuel or repair for the most part

You mean if you stay on 93 rather than taking 318?

I think I have only done that once, and it was because 318 was shut down for the car race where the public could race their vettes and vipers from Lund almost to 93.

yes but I have run from Utah on 6/50 to 93 to Ely with 118’ tower - it sucked. Then got stuck where 318 and 93 come together for 2 days when the road washed out. No restaurants no ac in the 2 motels - a real paradise
