You got that right. They only had 2 mechanics last time I was there.

 

The McDonalds next door worked out good

 

I never used the Spartanburg terminal.......I always found it more appealing to stay in a T/S versus staying in any terminal. With exception to West Memphis, the terminal was not that good, the maitenance was typical for USIT, but the yard was secure and you could stay there and folks would not even know your there because of the large yard size.

The mexican resturant there is GREAT!!! If your in the area, swing in and get a bite, you will not be disappointed

 

Yes that was nice, unless you leave before they openned... which was usually my case, except the last time i stayed since i pulled in there at like 5am. That was the day I quit .

That is a GREAT restaurant! My trainer told me I should go over there, never did until I met up with him back in June and we went over.

 

I hate hearing this terminal is being closed, I guess opening the Atlanta terminal sealed it's fate. While driving for USA Truck I parked my personal vehicle there. I always loved going to Carolina BBQ and Fatz I had my pickup so I was not bound by a large truck parking issue.

 

Carolina BBQ was the bomb. There was also a nice Mexican joint just around the corner.

I'm going to miss the Spartanburg terminal myself. I always got along with the mechanics and other staff there, plus I always knew exactly where to look for an empty if there wasn't one in the yard (the Grainger warehouse on I-385); it was almost guaranteed there would be one there.

 

The whole time I drove for USA Truck I don't ever remember coming off home time and finding an empty on the yard. I always seemed to go home loaded and they would repower it there leaving me bobtail. Either my FM got me a preloaded one there or I was sent to go find one.

 

Thing is... they just spent all that money concreting the one section of parking lol.

 

I know there was a bad section on the north side, I had a hard time backing into it one day. I wonder if this is where they put that new concrete. It's been Aug since I have been in there.
