I am coming from USA truck (OH NO!!! NOT USA!!!) after cdl school, and OTR training on a dedicated run with a "peice a work" trainer, i opted for their "DSD" program after i was done with OTR.
drove for them for just under six months with a 2005 13 letter... ok international that was teetering on its last leg complete with crooked smile and occasionally wondering eye. they ran me good for the first 2 months then immediately went downhill, with the pickups and drop offs coming and going at the hours of closure for most of the ships and cons i barely managed enough to cover living expenses while on the road for me and my lil bro.
well after only being off (under load that the extra miles weren't paid for) for 1 day in 2 1/2 months almost 3, i'm in an accident in oklahoma city.
so i'm given the option to go into driver training and pass an examination or leave and start walkin. do the training get back out and after all this stress i end up at the west memphis terminal with home right across the mississippi. After being jerked around finding a run more than 150 miles i listened to what all ppl were saying and thought since it was a slow weekend to ask about days off. dispatch told me i had zero days accrued, which i replied, "well when was the last time i was home?"
the response was filled with UHs and UMMs repeating my question again he said that i have none accrued and that if i need off so badly to take some time off and call my fleetmanager monday morning, so i took the tractor to a spot close by home and had a nice weekend followed by a request monday morning to take the tractor back to the terminal.
I was told that i was terminated because my trailer knocked off the mirror of another usa tractor at or around a dock, i don't remember doing such thing. and they are beating around the bush getting me pictures showing my truck did it.
so now i'm looking for another company to drive for that has a better rep than USA truck
