Fill out the application completely cause they will dig.

YOU will probably have to take a physical agility test, drug screen, clean driving record, three years minimum.

    HazMat endorsement required.

City peddle is day time hours and LINEHAUL is night time driving, terminal to terminal, probably gone a week at a time.

NEW hire starts out at 75% of the pay and it take about two years to get to the full scale. RAISES are about every 6 months.

YES it is UNION, and they work on a seniority basis.

LINEHAUL is a 30 day probation. DO not have any kind of an accident if you can help it for 30 days, after that you are on the seniority board at that time.
Which gives you more rights should something occur.

Every terminal is a little different when it comes to transfers from road to city or city to road.

YOU will go to orientation and you will get maps and be told how the company works.

MOTELS are paid for which includes the VAN ride to and from the terminal to motel.
    Entertainment is your own expense.

If you have any out of pocket expenses such as TOLL, or even washer fluid to etc.....the company will reimburse you.

LINEHAUL paid per mile, and also per hour while waiting/working at the terminals.

CITY Peddle/DOCK is paid per hour, with a 1/2 hour lunch excluded.

    Hope this information helps you!:biggrin_25525:

I've been at HOLLAND for around 16 years now and it's a great job!

I don't mind driving at night, less traffic which is nice.

JUST turn the ole XM on and keep the CB light and it's a good night!
