Most of the local guys want 2 years experience,I have a little over 1 year.
born&raisedintheusa Thanks this. -
Apply anyway... Lots of times they "say" they require X years but they do hire with less.
Or stick it out for another year and then let the opportunities roll in... While still looking.born&raisedintheusa and FullMetalJacket Thank this. -
Here it's one and two yrs depending on the company.Like Midwest macdaddy said do you have any record of you working for this employer like check stubs? Even a tax form would work then you could fax it to the company if they would allow that.born&raisedintheusa Thanks this.

Ive got all the tax forms, but dont seem to be acceptable at this point.
Maybe after a few more days, they will give up and accept them.
More regulation than I ever thought possible in one ocupation.born&raisedintheusa Thanks this. -

I never worked for a trucking company I work for a private fleet now and I think it was a very wise decision on my end.
born&raisedintheusa Thanks this. -
LOL I guess I am that bad off even without benefits. No "elite status" though just despised "white Volvo Chicago gang" badge.
Seriously though you are being exploted bro.Change that job man.born&raisedintheusa and Steel Dragon Thank this. -
Always get it in writing. If they won't put it in writing and sign it (a contract, which is crystal clear and legally binding) than its probably not true.
There's a team of USX drivers that said they earned +$200k last year, so maybe that's the way to go with that company.born&raisedintheusa Thanks this. -
Call Hire Right at 1-877-966-7303 & request a copy of your DAC, all trucking employment history will be on there. They have a website too if you'd prefer to do it online. Very good info to have, if there's an issue getting hired it could tell you why (disgruntled employers have even been known to lie on them, albeit rarely.) The Social Security Administration no longer gives those files out, don't need them anyways, born&raisedintheusa, Starboyjim and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
