I recently received a verbal warning from a law enforcement officer in Buffalo, WY, for making an illegal turn. As a newly licensed commercial driver, I'm unfamiliar with how traffic infractions are documented. Could you please clarify whether this incident would be recorded on my Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) report or my Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) score?
Additionally, should I consider consulting with a transportation attorney to ensure I fully understand the implications of this warning and to confirm I’m in compliance with regulatory requirements? I'm eager to understand the implications of this warning and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Did you get any paperwork? Did you have to sign anything?
blairandgretchen and Numb Thank this. -
a verbal warning? like him saying “Hey!! Yo! you can’t be doing that??”
Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Not a big deal unless he issued you a ticket and gave you an inspection because he just yelled at you. -
It was a verbal warning, so don't mention it. If you do mention it, the safety man will put it in your file and can use that as an excuse to fire you later.
Flat Earth Trucker and tarmadilo Thank this. -
No inspection = never happened.
