Ok. I just watched this video several times. It appears to me that after hitting the drives, the car, then, either hits the front of the steer tire, or it's fender caught the back of the steer tire. Thus, pushing it around. It is likely, the truck driver was along for the ride, at this point. To illustrate what I'm saying, go to a parking lot with some big holes in it. Ease along, aiming towards one of the holes. Let go of the wheel just before you hit the hole with your steer tire. See what happens to your direction of travel. Let's not assume the driver was swerving as a reaction to the crash for a moment. Let's assume he was an experienced driver. This is my assumption, based on the fact that, as he navigated the curve, he seemed to be favoring the outside. This is not something you see from rookies. They, more often than not, tend to favor the inside. Now, at the point if impact to the drives, we see the truck come away from the left edge, and towards the center. A textbook reaction. STAY IN YOUR LANE AT ALL COSTS!! Then, the car hits his steer tire. Albeit, I cannot make out the actions inside the cab, nor the movement of the tires, you can clearly see that the truck starts "swerving" exactly upon the impact to the steers. This is why spinners are illegal in some states. They break fingers. How can you steer with broken fingers? Anyway, let's not throw the trucker under the bus. We're truckers. We should all know that the gubmint will do a good enough job at that.

When a car hit your steer tire its going to turn unless you're hulk hogan and is expecting it to happen and I dont think many if any drivers drive down the road expecting a car to hit their steer tires. How wany times have you been in road construction where they was paving and changed lanes that little difference in height of lanes can take you for a ride when you are expecting it so imagine a 2000 pound car hitting you tire and you are not expecting it so all you super truckers that think it should have been avoidable think again

That's exactly how I saw it, too. If it were a case of "jerking the wheel," he'd have gone over the barriers before the Nissan came back for seconds. Looks to me like the driver held it together until he was knocked out of his lane.
