REAL Women in Trucking Inc. Launches the Voice of the Road Award 2026
National Award Honors Women Truck Drivers Creating Real Change in the Industry

(RWIT) officially announced the launch of the Voice of the Road Award 2026, a national recognition program honoring professional women truck drivers who are using their voices, leadership, advocacy, and lived experiences to create meaningful impact within the trucking industry.

The award was created as part of RWIT’s ongoing #ihaveavoicecampaign, an initiative focused on amplifying the voices of women in trucking and recognizing those who are helping move the industry forward through mentorship, resilience, education, advocacy, and leadership.

“The Voice of the Road Award was created to recognize women drivers who are not only succeeding in trucking, but who are also using their experiences and platforms to advocate for change, support other drivers, and help strengthen the industry,” said Tamie Stuttle, Director of Marketing and Board Member for REAL Women in Trucking Inc.

Nominees must be current or former CDL holders with hands-on, over-the-road tractor-trailer experience and should demonstrate the R.E.A.L. standards established by RWIT:

• Encouraging Others
• Achieving Personal Success
• Leadership

The award recognizes women drivers who actively mentor, educate, advocate, inspire, and elevate others within the trucking community through social media, podcasts, articles, speaking engagements, nonprofit work, or other public advocacy efforts.

Nominations are open now through June 30, 2026. Self-nominations are welcome.

As part of the nomination process, nominators are encouraged to include public advocacy links such as X, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, podcast appearances, articles, or other media platforms that demonstrate the nominee’s voice and impact within the industry.

Finalists will be selected by the REAL Women in Trucking Board and publicly announced in August 2026.

The winner of the Voice of the Road Award 2026 will receive:
• Official award plaque
• Cash award
• Exclusive Voice of the Road apparel package
• Embroidered polo, hoodie, t-shirt, and branded tumbler
• Sponsor prize packages
• Recognition across RWIT media platforms and campaigns

Finalists will also receive official recognition and Voice of the Road swag packages, and a cash prize.

The launch of the award is supported by industry sponsors Mudflap and Road Warrior, who partnered with RWIT to help support women drivers and elevate advocacy within trucking.
