This happened to me with my radio in my 4 wheeler. Was puzzling as hell when it was going on, very frustrating that my radios kept shorting out lol

The fact that problem went away for 4 days after Volvo worked on the switch would suggest that it is worth taking a look in that area for bad wires.

Now that everything is going to cheaper manufacturing cost Im seeing a lot of stupid wire problems, something like this for example of issues from the steer angle sensors the wiring is actually going bad inside its one of the hardest things to figure out. I had a volvo with cummins that the coolant level sensor wires went bad inside the wiring in about 5 different places till it pissed me off and i just rewired the whole circuit. With new trucks quality has gone out the window, everything is made to break and it's the same thing all accross the board with all makes.

Brought back this old thread for a reason. If your 2004-2017 Volvo blows the F15 ignition fuse when trying to start engine, %99 chance the solenoid on the starter is shorted or the trigger wire to the solenoid is grounded out. That circuit branches out like a tree. Hard to troubleshoot even with proper diagram. Hopes this saves some Techs a lot of headaches and time.
Bath and daf105paccar Thank this. -
