    Hello guys,
I was on vacay for two months and today when i went to start up my truck, of course batteries were dead. My buddy came to jump start it with big jumper starter and first time when i tried to start it did crank but start to smoke around the batteries somewhere, after that we tried one more time cranked but had no power to start and smoked again, after that truck won’t crank i just hear click. Do you guys have idea what could be the issue ? blown fuse ? wires ? something got burned ?

    Any help is welcome!

Sounds like a failed battery. They'll smoke if a cell is shorted.

    Siinman Thanks this.

My friend came also with his truck, we ran jumping cables from his truck to my truck and it shows 12.5 but like i said still no crank :( do you think one battery will make the truck no to crank at all.

How battery connection looks? Do you have quick disconnect switch above battery pack?

I do have quick shut off switch. I replaced it 2 years ago because i had the same issues truck sometimes had power sometimes not. Batteries looks okay. Mechanic was cleaning them last time they have like some black stuff around i guess for protection against corrosion

Check fuse from battery to the cab and fused link to the frame. Fuse holder is right on the battery, fused link is black wire from battery negative to the frame, not the big one. The fuse in this wire is calibrated copper covered by shrink tube close to frame bolt. If it's soft in this place the fuse is burned.
