both driver and passenger side electrical mirror not working I did recently just replace all batteries not sure if that could be a cause. All advice greatly appreciated.

Do the buttons light up when you select the left or right?

Probably needs the switch then. Hit the button repeatedly and see if it will light.

Mine is crapping out for the driver's side. I have to hit the button three or four times to get it to switch on.

I don't even want to know what it costs. It's an encoder, not a real switch.

If they worked before you replaced the batteries, maybe the memory that retains the settings in the LCM got wiped because of a bad coin battery. I'm pretty sure they are controlled through the LCM.

I don't know if you can see any of that or diagnose it through Premium Tech Tool, but I have a copy and will look later today when I stop.

I'm betting on bad switch. It's a Volvo after all. Bad switches are common......real common.

And once again, whenever I just want to have a quick look at something on PTT, it needs an upgrade and won't run. PTT is an expensive pile of garbage created by basement-dwelling, schizophrenic cat hoarders.

Looks like yet another call to Tech support to get this piece of crap to update.
