Do people know how Walmart runs their trucks? My understanding is they slip seat driver basically. You have to be ready to switch truck at anytime if needed. Like if your truck is in shop, they don't have you sitting around waiting. You get in another truck and go. You can't use you phone for more then something like 4 minutes a day. That using a Bluetooth and you HAVE let them look at you phone anytime they want to check it.

When you slip seat trucks you sleeping in same bed as another driver. They pay good

Doesn't surprise me. Walmart, especially in rural situations, is literally raking it in with a combine. For most, it's the modern day general store, and is always packed. Too bad it's going to take Walmart 2,000 applicants to get their 900 drivers.:biggrin_25512:

Are there any advantages make up for weird policies? Easy parking at the stores or terminals? Able to get fresh food all the time for the truck?

    Good home time?

I’d like to work there just so I could screw everything up as much as possible. Be a real pain in the ### to get rid of too. Maybe try to get Union cards signed. Lol Then sue them for firing Me. Lol Just to even the score, for all the time I’ve wasted at their DCs

Why is it a bad thing that they have to go thru 2000 applicants to hire 900 drivers?

If I can't get home everyday than no deal..... Sorry, but I'm not spending days away from home for any amount of money. It was fun starting out, but it got old fast when you go home for a couple of days and end up realising how comfy your bed is, the fridge in the kitchen, you can take a dump in peace and can take a shower anytime without having to fight for a parking space at a truck stop and get to see my girlfriend everyday. Got very depressed getting two measly days off just to get back on the road and wondering if your girlfriend is getting sick of it and fooling around with the mail man or garbage man all on my dime while im somewhere on the other side of the country.

    To hell with that.

I'd bet it's nearly 20,000 applicants to hire 900 drivers not 2000 LOL...

At 2000 that would be nearly every other application, Walmart actually has some standards...
