It's not per associate but per every hour paid to all associates.HalpinUout Thanks this. -
Ok you got me, had to read it a few more times. But you get the idea anyway.

you might as well give up jim they will never get it. I guess they don't realize how many American jobs are created by things being made over seas, I guess they think they magically arrive on walmart and almost every other retailers shelves. im sure they are using an American made pc making these posts right now. lol of course every American would like to have everything American made. being in a consumer based economy that's not reality anymore.
grabberblue12 Thanks this. -
I understand a lot of things, just don't tell me how great you got it when our government is taking care of all your"associates" and their dependents. In georgia we have peachcare for children who need healthcare. The dependents of wallyworld employees are far and away the main beneficiary of this program. When wallyworld can take care of their own, then you tell me how good you got it.

very true jim!! its down right terrible that 1.5 million associates are forced to work at wal-mart its just terrible.

Oh yeah...good point. There really should be a law against forcing someone into applying, interviewing and accepting and showing up every day for a job at Walmart . Oh the humanity...

For a job that is the most horrible thing on the face of the earth, over 2400 people applied for 400 positions in Washington DC, when the new stores opened.
Of those 2400 people, I did not hear of one person having a gun held to their heads (of course, in Washington DC that gun would be illegal, but still), forcing them to apply.
Also, nice way of stereotyping all Walmart associates. The only ones who make starting wage are new hires. Yes, you may start as a part time checker............... who has benefits available to them, btw. However, all promotions are done from within. If you do more than suck air, you have a chance to advance. To full time, to management. It really is up to you. Managers make good money, and everyone has benefits available to them. There are also bonus's, and profit sharing. Of course, nobody likes to think about that. How about we talk about all of the cheritable work that Walmart does in communities it is in. Of course they don't toot their own horn, so nobody knows about that either.
Everyone loves to romanticize how things were before big box stores happened. They happened due to a need. Your Mom and Pop grocer does not have the choice or the prices. They don't employ many people either. Your local community becoming a wasteland is the byproduct of recent economic conditions. Walmart did not make the economy crash. They are, however, a large visible symbol that you can blame.
Walmart is the poster boy for corporate hatred because they are so successful. In America today, it is the "in" thing to hate success. Jealousy, self loathing, and ideology makes spending other peoples money so easy. Of course, that money you spend just might be your own. After all, if you have a 401K, or mutual funds, chances are that you too are an "owner" of Walmart. Oh............ the horror !!!Space Man Spiff, TomOfTx, drozzer69 and 5 others Thank this. -
Oh so well said!
