there are plenty of low paying jobs in this country...some regions worse than others. Walmart is no different than anybody else when it comes to pay, why pay more than they can get away with? The DCs pay quite well... just about everything is import these days. Good luck buying American and puting your words where you wallet is...
Pottsville and Toby are pretty tough to work out of, mainly because of L.I., people are reluctant to go there. Either place is worth at least a year, it pass quickly. Go wherever you can get hired, tough it out and then move on.
walmart is the best driving job i've ever had

Maybe they would still be working in all those shuttered buildings which sit unoccupied in Industrial Parks all over America? Most of them had their dream job before they turned 46.

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the WTO have paved the way for Wal-Mart to become the world's largest corporation. These agreements have enabled Wal-Mart to enter and dominate markets with its stores and for it to use those suppliers most willing to pick up, close shop, and scour the planet for the cheapest places to make products.First Mexico and then China.

And good for Walmart for doing so. Survival of the fittest. I couldn't be more proud to work for Walmart. Thanks for pointing out all the positive business strategies Walmart incorporates into it's business model. It's great to know I work for a company that will stop at nothing to maintain their success and step on anyone who gets in their way. It's called capitalism and it's working well for me. If you can compete with Walmart...compete. If you can't compete with Walmart...see ya. Any smart business would take advantage of anything they can courtesy of our incompetent government. If they didn't...well...how many K-Marts are left?

The more I read about the Wal-Mart haters the more I can't wait to apply. Got a surgery to have and recover from then I'll offer my labor for sale on the free market.
