My husband and I made a delivery here, and we figured out why drivers refused to go here! The assistant managers at this store refused to allow employees to unload, even though we were assured that this was no touch freight. They refused to give us equipment to unload the pallets, and then they proceeded to swear at us. They also proceeded to threaten us, telling me that they would come up and "shut my fat f*&^ing mouth for me." All we did was ask for a forklift and pallet jack. They did this in front of the store, right in view of customers in their parking lot. They called us multiple names that I cannot repeat and also threaten to jack his jaw and show him what they would do. Avoid this place!!

No one has the right to treat you that way! Shut the doors and leave tell dispatch and document it. Tell the manager they will get their stuff when the company decides to redeliver it oh and they will be charged for it.

I'd have called a cop. While there's no excuse for this, have to remember, truckers can be pigs, and we get to leave those places, but they deal with truckers all day. Not many places let you use their equipment, I'm sure they had problems with that too. That's trucking,,

Why were you in front of the store, and not at the dock?

Walmart requires THEIR certification to use ANY of their power equipment. They will not recognize anyone else's certs. They aren't supposed to let you use their pallet jacks, either; it's a liability issue, and you aren't a Walmart employee.

I've delivered there when I ran out of their grocery DC. I don't recall any problems. I'm sure there's more to this story...

Best investment there, would be a pallet jack for those alleged "no touch" freight loads, and if they don't give you a dock, I'd bring it to back of the trailer and say, "if you don't get someone to take it off, it's going on the ground". Be surprised how fast they move with a pallet of pumpkins on the ground.

You need to write WalMart in Bentonville Arkansas and let them know what happened.
Be sure to include date, time, people's names and anything else you can remember.
When you get an answer, if you get an answer, post it here for everybody to see.

Like eceryone has said this is only one side of the story.

Bottom line, if you are spoken to like that, you pull the dock plate and pull the truck out into the parking lot. Close & pad lock the doors, call disp., they will get the trailer back in the door after you recieve an apology. Plain & simple. No apology no load. Fire me! I’ll be in somebody elses truck by Monday.

But Op, you didn’t tell the whole story here. How much blame do you deserve?

I don't care what the OP left out, you don't talk to a woman like that. You don't tell her that you'll shut her fat effing mouth.

I'm more curious to know how this turned out. Did you hand unload the trailer without a jack? Did they eventually do it for you? What happened?

Since that was the last we'll probably hear about it, I'd bet there's more to the story, as others suggested. They probably got huffy with the store manager, who already was having a crappy day, I'm beginning not to buy any of it.
