How old is that 10 over speeding ticket? Was that in a truck? To me its all about how you want to run. You have experience driving so now narrow it down to what are you looking for, money, home time, equipment, running lanes. That should put you on the path to where you want to work. I know you will looking to be trained so that will limit some companies. I hope all goes well for you.

actually any FB co. that will hire you is a good bet. That's because all FB loads need to be secured properly. Thare isn't any co. that does less than minimal securement. However there can be drivers that do less than minimal securement (because of their ignorance).

I'd focus on ones that are strong in your neck of the woods. This will help ensure quality home time performance. Look around at the flatbed outfits you see running around your area in PA and jots down the ones you see regularly and post them here. Having terminals nearby the home location is a big plus.

You don't need a starter company. You can learn even more on here and in this manual. I've had to teach plenty of starter company drivers how to secure loads.

That handbook is solid gold. I consult it regularly and study it to learn how to secure loads that I currently don't run. More knowledge is always a good thing.

    Eastern Freightways has flatbed division.
Western Express flatbed might cut some slack on the MVR.
