So, I've been thinking about going into the trucking business for a long time now. I've decided to go ahead with it, but I just got nailed by a red light camera. In Arizona it says that it does show up on a driving record. I just received it in the mail, so maybe I have some options here, but I'm not sure what to do. Would a red light infraction disqualify me from a company sponsored school? Or a job in general

Nah, just ask anyone who drives for Swift.

Apply around, be honest about it and you should be fine. There will be a few that may say no, but there are many more who will say yes, just don't let the naysayers get you down.

Unless there is proof that you were the driver, you will probably be fine. Unless they have a clear photo of you in the driver's seat anyways. Around here, photo red light/photo radar tickets are only proof that the vehicle itself was involved in the violation and the ticket goes to the registered owner. They can't prove who was operating the vehicle at that particular moment. Just a cash grab.

Hire a lawyer and get it dismissed. Either way, companies will hire you.

Try "The Ticket Clinic" or similar in your area. Alot easier to beat a ticket before you have a CDL, as opposed to afterwards.

Thanks everyone, I just found out I can take an online defensive driving coarse and get it removed from my record, it will cost me $220 in all but I think that's probably my best option.
