I am currently persuing a carrer change. I have done my research on different companies and have heard very posotive things about roehl. I would like to get the opinion of current roehl drivers about the company. It is not to late for me to back out and I dont want to make a mistake. I am walking away from a job that I have been at for about 12 years to persue a better financial opportunity.
any input would be appreciated
thank you in advance

...I'm gonna be leaving a long term position to go OTR. I've narrowed my company trainer choices to 3, one of which is Roehl. So, I'd love to hear from some of current or recent Roehl drivers too.
Thanks Much and Y'all Be Blessed! -

I haven't been with Roehl for very long, but here's what I've seen so far.
-A lot of drivers do quit. The nice thing is that a lot of these drivers don't quite because of something against Roehl. One the other day quit because he decided OTR driving wasn't for him. Another to work out some maritial issues.
-They preach safety and they mean it. I was supposed to be to Gary, IN for load securement on Tuesday night. I left Akron and the winds were horrible. No biggy, especially when you weight 77,000 lbs., right? Well the eastbound drivers were telling me the tollway was shut down in South Bend and when you crossed into Indiana it was all ice. I saw a temperature drop of about 20 degrees in a few minutes and pulled in a service plaza. The call went very well--I explained and they said it was okay, they had shut the other drivers down and even their dedicated fleet in the area.
-My dispatcher is great. Not everyone has this luck and it could easily change once I'm out of Evo 3.
-If they know you're new, they work with you. I haven't heard anything about my out-of-route miles from getting lost.
-Their facilities might not be a Holiday Inn, but they take decent care of the drivers.
-The equipment's all fairly new. I'm told anything with less than 1/5 million miles is still considered new, and most of what I see falls in that category.
-If you have problems, there's a chain of command you climb until you see some results.
-My trainers were great. Some of my friends' trainers... not so great.
Anything else I can help you with? How about some specific questions?
