    Hi, Pete 579 2017 mx 13.
While driving I occasionally get a very loud beep from driver speaker. It is getting worse.
I read somewhere one time what it was but can't find it again.
It is not the collision system buzzer. This is a single beep.
Seems to me it was something to do with engine. Maybe valves or head.

I have a 2021 579 and if you move either direction the lane you’re in and cross the line without using your blinker, the speaker on the side that you are crossing will beep

Try turning blinker on and see if it still does it or hit the blinker when it starts and see if it stops

I also have a 2017 pete 579 with an mx13. Its likely just the lane departure warning. Mine used to beep if i crossed over a line without a signal on. Only time you will get a warning tone with the engine is if you have check engine lights on iirc.

Some of those "Lane Deviation Alerts" read Old Lines and can be most infuriating in "Highway Construction/Improvement Zones"!!

It's not that. Mine has a loud buzzer for that.
I found this warning a while back in some manual online. I was working on something else. It was either dpf or engine. I remember thinking that I did not have the money to deal with it and figured it would last a while longer. Then forgot what it was.
    I think it was engine.

Mine has a buzzer. That annoying thing drove me nuts. I did not know what it was for a few months. Till I started paying attention to when it came on.
This is a very loud beep. Only left speaker. Random.

Its still the lane departure. On the passenger side on the door jam there is a black box with a stud button with 3 lights, its a sensor connected to the bendex pods on the side of the truck that will sense if there are objects close to your side or the lane itself. Press the stud to adjust volume. Ill get a picture when i get done with my laundry

And yes you can turn it iff in ECM when i had my emissions repaired by a 3rd party i made them turn that #### all off including my following too close alarm. Everything still works just mo more gods awful BEEP

I'll give that a try. Because come to think of it the driver side lane buzzer don't go off much at all. The passenger side swears I'm weaving all over at the shoulder. It is lying.

    Oxbow Thanks this.
