It is a glorious day when you don't have to use banks anymore. The only reason I go to the bank now is to get a handful of those nifty little stick-on dashboard calendars they give away. I'd ask for some wall calendars too but the Snap-On guy has a better selection.

Seriously, when a guy finally gets to the point where he can use his own money for finance it's like waking up to a whole new and better world. Takes awhile but it's worth it.

I don't hate them, I look at them as an opponent because I was in their shoes a long time ago. I know the mindset. I know what is talked about inside a brokerage firm. I know they're there to keep as much money from me as possible. They are on the opposing team. They are the fighter standing across the ring from me. Could we possible be friends and have a beer together someday? Sure, and I will buy!!! But during the transaction it's kill or be killed.

And female brokers are the worst. Because male truckers will give them the benefit of the doubt and they don't deserve that.

My old boss used to purposely seek out beautiful and/or cute female brokers, because they can sell better than men. Now this was internationally, I do know the "old boys golf club" worked here in the USA for a long time, but internationally all you had to do is hire hot women. Anyhow, the girls would make $$$. but the problem my boss had was his clients would run off with them and marry all of them. He would hire women and us guys would bet on how long they'd stay before running off with a client. It was almost guaranteed, and almost all didn't stick around for more than 2 years.

I'd stick to my word and short myself a $100?

    Hilarious....

There was never a deal for $1500

There was an offer made of $1500 that was rejected.

Then, the broker posted it up for 16.

    16 is now the number....

"I see you've posted that load for $1600, well I'd just like to say that I'll do it for $1500 because that was my previous offer that you rejected, and I have integrity. "

You're kinda new at this, yeah?

A deal's not a deal until both sides agree.

You have until the phone call ends to make a deal...

    New call? Process starts over....

And, I'm in a much stronger negotiating position.

That $1500? Yeah, like I told you... if you want that deal then you need to say yes before the call ends....

    Brokers don't respect weakness.

"Hey, wow, yeah... tell you what... let me think about it for awhile.... maybe I'll call you later and accept your rate."

Now, what do you suppose is happening while you're sitting there waiting for that call back?

That's right, Mr Broker is still shopping that load and looking for someone else to do it cheaper, and why wouldn't he? He's got you in the bag, sitting there hoping he'll call you back and accept your rate.

    "Gee, I hope he calls."

Perhaps that is for legal reasons because if someone is publicly defamed they could face a potential defamation law suit.
