I just hauled 47,800 lbs of a wine load to billings.I was overweight allmost the whole time till i got to montana and my fuel was down to 1/4 tanks.they want you to run at 80,000 lbs with 1/2 tanks now so that you get a overweight ticket when you fill up.
I spent 2 days in california doing pickups from fresno to napa, 6 pickups in all, I spent $66 at commercial scales in that 2 days cause john wants to know what i weigh at every pickup stop CAUSE the peeps loading the trialer didnt know what they were doing cause i was3,000 overweight on my trailer but they told me wich way to go to avoid the scales in the bay area so i had to avoid the scales cause at the 6th pickup i was way over 80,000 grooss, more like 82,500 but i was over on my axles anyway so i didnt care i guess cause i knew i was going back to modesto for them to reload it anyway and they told me how to avoid the scales
BUt I MADE IT TO bILLINGS AT 1:30PM FRIDAY and they allmost turned me away(said i needed a appointment) but didnt as i explained i was told to rush this here ASAP and had a total of 9 hours of sleep in 3 1/2 days!
I just got my next load that picks up sat morning and goes 400 miles to colarado but doesnt deliver till monday, wow i love this company!!!!! seems were back to where we were 2 months ago before i begged to run east and they ran me east and i was running 2500+ miles a week, looks like im back to running 1,000 miles a week.
I will be giving WS my 2 week notice in the next few days as i have other companies that want to hire me......

i can this towing and be at home to have relations with my wife......

i will say ws is the best company for newbies
i really dont have anything bad to say except they give me all the shiity loads and i accept them, someone on this board said you can turn down loads, i never knew this, my previous back ground was towing and if i turned something down i would be called in and fired so i never turn down anything.i just thought you would be fired so i take all these 300-400 mile loads and i going broke doing it so im outta here by august.

"my previous back ground was towing and if i turned something down i would be called in and fired "
That's the way trucking used to be, and legal driving is the one and only caveat I see to today's job...plus the ability to turn down loads. Now you seem to know the solution to the problem, but you are going to quit instead of using it to your advantage?
I doubt you're going to find a better seat than WS, although you could make more money, from all I read. You can also make much less.

yeah, you can turn down loads, its just not a good idea to do so. by turning loads down disp will remember that, i have never turned a load down if i could help it, the only time is when my trk was in the shop longer then expected.
you do them favs, and they do u a fav in return,
sorry its not what u want here.
but what redfox said is true. u can do better or u can do worse.
and them telling u to avoide the scales... who said to do that? disp? i highly doubt it, over weight is over weight, ur in control of the trk, simply dont take the load, your the one that gets the ticket, not the company, unless they tell you to do so over the qc, thats documented and saved for a long time, then they have to pay the ticket. though, in cali i doubt the coop would let u continue on till u get the extra weight off.
you should have called someone, macon, walt, somebody. 80k is all id ever go

also, about the emty weight, i no how to scare on a platform scale, s then d then t. do the math each time and get your weight/s

I have to call myself out on a word usage error

The highlighted word should be respectively instead of respectfully.

How is W/S doing with regards to the 30 day students since they dropped their financing for the school and are making the students come up with their own financing.
