I've often wondered if that's how I'll end up going.

We all used to say how we were cooked by all the radars.

EA6B's were lethal if switched on and you were in front of them. Those were the jammers .

But all the doppler radars emitted wtf radiation.

And the shipboard radar was unbelievable.

In '69 & '70 I saw some A6 and A3 aircraft being used as aerial refueling tankers in Vietnam.
Don't know how I can remember that because wasn't attached to those units.

A6's are the Navy's air refueling aircraft.

Here's an A3 fuel tanker. A6 was probably more prevalent.

They may not even use A6's anymore. A6's were pure bombers. Amazing payload capability. That's why they'd work for tankers. It had to be dedicated as a tanker, plumbed for it.

    A3 is going way back.

Lol. Now they are building the MQ25 refueling drone for the carrier wing.

I liked the F-4 back in those days. Twin J-79 engines in full afterburner.

Marines kept a few F-4's in the Philippines for spares.
