This is the worst time of year to drive in snow events. Not enough chloride applications have occurred to accumulate residual amounts in the road surface, so slicker snow accumulates faster and stays longer even in warmer temps near the freezing mark.

But the guard rails usually keep vehicles from entering the center median area at bridge crossings. Must have lost control well before the bridge/water or slid into the rail and the momentum tipped it over. But looking at Google, that's a straight bridge approach, either direction.

I hope he didn't freeze to death in the water. But the way they said cab was submerged I'm thinking he was unconscious from the initial impact of rolling over and drowned or froze.

The sad thing is most of these accident are by local drivers, not to say otr don't help, container and log truck dump truck, container and local drivers are at the top of the food chain, I think we all should take a look at what we all are doing, that can help make a difference so we all with the help of God make it back home to our family, and not in a box

    BigBob410 and Trucker61016 Thank this.

The other day here in Flint a driver that his day consists of going from GM's warehouse to the plant over turned his truck turning on the street to the warehouse. He literately makes that turn 5-8 times a day and has been doing it for 10+ years.
Just got overconfident and it bit him.
BTW, he was fine, load of empty racks is fine, trailer is toast. :)

More than likely a combination of drowning and hypothermia set in. You lose more body heat in water than you do in air. Once you’re exposed to water temperatures to below 65 degrees your body starts to shut down.RIP driver.
