FMCSA has launched a new subcommittee of commercial drivers to its Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC). This subcommittee will provide direct feedback to FMCSA on important issues facing the driving community—like safety, hours-of-service regulations, training, parking, and driver experience. This new panel of drivers will be composed of 25 drivers from all sectors of the CMV industry— tractor-trailer drivers, straight truck drivers, motorcoach drivers, hazardous materials drivers, agriculture haulers, and more. Our goal is to capture the wide array of viewpoints and experiences within the CMV community. Drivers interested in joining the panel should submit a resume detailing your driving experience, a personal statement outlining how your qualifications and experience as a driver make you suitable for membership. You may also submit any letter of recommendation you may wish, but it is not required. Please email these documents directly to MCSACDriver@dot.gov by Friday, October 16th.
We Need YOU! (Take action by Oct. 16th)

That’s nothing new.
I can tell how that’ll end up.
1.) Saftey-nonexistent.
2.) HoS (I’m glad for them, if not companies would force 24 hours 7 days week.
3.)Training Yes, new guys coming in need more, quit parking a fuel islands for 30/10/34s
4.) Parking Take some of the HVUT 550/Each truck on the road and build some places. But remember (Not in my back yard NIMBY)
5.)Driver Experience
Why worry now about that?
Any dispatcher for more than 1 day knows more than any 20 year veteran driver.
6.)Hazmat/Hazwopper DOT themselves will tell you hazmat is not worth fooling with.TallJoe, MACK E-6, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this. -
