    a few yrs ago in NC, I-85 north bound, Gastonia scales.

    scale entrance and an entry ramp a shared.

    charter bus rear ended a truck waiting to enter scale.

    The driver WAS NOT CHARGED, they ended up closing the scale and building a "super coop" in more reasonable spot.

    just pointing out you are not always in the wrong by following the laws at a full scale.

    A similar accident happened more recently at the I-77 northbound scales in Mt. Airy,North Carolina. The line was out to the highway and a rearend collision between trucks occurred,resulting in a fatality. From my understanding DOT is still getting a new ***hole torn on that one.

    If you're moving west on I-10, just as you come over the bridge, get into the left lane. Troopers are actually standing out in traffic waiving cars into the Welcome Center. Give law enforcement a wide berth.
