Well I ate my words on fuel additives this morning.

    Correct... But when ambient is OMFG below zero and wind nearly causes lift off, it dont take long to freeze/gel up running down the road at speed.

    i had gelling issues before that were caused by my engine being mechanical it did not return enough fuel to the tanks to warm,i ran additives, had to carry fuel filters, switch em out on the road, pita,i bought an artic fox fuel heater, mounts on frame has an mechanical thermostat on it and ran coolent lines to it, i have never had a problem since, i use no additives and gained enuff confidence to quit carrying spare filters! best money iv spent, its stainless steel and maintenance free, i put ball valves on feed lines and shut off in summer just cause but dont need to
