I had one way back, did all that, except the coffee. He liked to smoke crack. Could always come up with some pretty decent loads, I guess he was a fast talker.

Since so many people know how Florida is, there is also no reason for drivers to consistently run down there. You know beforehand you'll either have to deadhead out, or take a cheap load, so why even go to Florida?

I've never dealt with brokers before. Just ruthless dispatchers. But theres just something about someone that makes alot of money off of someones elses work that doesnt sit right sometimes. I dunno. Maybe if I knew you actually drove into an office instead of sitting at home all day I'd feel better? But being a broker does sound like a sweet gig. Sounds like all they do all day is collect finders fees for linking up a producer of goods with a trucker willing to haul their stuff.

if you wake up and its,12 degrees out ... Florida looks kinda good ...... I make my money going down ..... I got 3.35 a mile going out 2 weeks ago but I earned it .... trees 6 stops driver assist ... only 6 miles of deadhead ...... this slowdown in January is a normal buisness cycle worse for flats, bad for vans reefer has its moments . should start picking up first of march then hopefully by April things will be hopping, if you have built up relationships with a few agents you dont notice it that bad if at all .... if you are just working the spot market your just disposable capacity anyways
