Must have been around 1995 or so when fuel price in California cracked $1.00 a gallon.

Think it was about 97 or 98 that I started using fuel cards and not cash.

I got nothing on you seasoned salty professionals. Slightly better than before.
    $750 in 2018 equals $714.37 in 2015.

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

In 1985 I was still racking up miles on a BMX bike. Not to race, it was my transportation. :)

In '85 I was riding 3 wheelers, listening to Kill 'em all and Ride the lightning and smokin' weed like a mad man! Oh and making $8 an hour! Ahh simpler times!!! Lol!!

Suspect Zero and Oldironfan Thank this.

In 1985 I had just bought a brand new IH 9600 cabover, could afford health insurance for the family and was building my first house.
Paying taxes on about $750 week, home every weekend, 80k miles per year
In 2017, I am driving an 18 year old tractor, live in an RV(rubber tramp), on medicare, drive 80k miles a year and pay taxes on about $750 week.
    Does that answer your question?
