If you're in the flat-deck or other specialized trailer market I thought it would be a good idea to have a Western Canadian version of the "good and bad companies", since many drivers out west in BC, AB, and SK who are doing a job search need a quick way to check out a company's review.
This would be a good place to discuss your recommendations for a company, give a reference to other job seekers asking about it, let everyone know where the company could improve upon their already great reputation, then Let us know what you liked about the company, what the company culture was like, what the pay was like, what made the job a keeper, etc.
If you've successfully won a judgement against an employer, or your employer is violating the labour laws, or has a bad attitude, is incompetent, is not paying you properly, is not reporting your pay properly, has unsafe work conditions, is timing your runs too tight, not giving you enough lead time on a move, run down equipment, refusing repairs, you had to deal with terrible customers who treated you like an animal, absent management, had issues with how you were paid, had issues with safety, made you run tired, made you falsify your logs, expected you to sit and wait for free, had issues with fights over getting trucks fixed, had issues with getting laid off for days or weeks without pay suddenly, favoritism on who got the work when there was slowdowns, or whatever else you feel is not right please let us all know. Sunshine is the best disinfectant and you're helping to protect other families from getting hurt.

And don't forget, that if you have many years of experience, only speak English, and submit resumes to an ad, or call an ad, and you either you never hear from the company, or if they say they'll call you back and they don't, that means you're in the ongoing and building of the LMIA scam. Immigrant companies collect resumes so they have them to show the government program agents that they've run ads, but they can't find any Canadian qualified drivers. So because of the "driver shortage" they need to import their own people from the old country.
I have also heard that some guys from the old country get scammed themselves. Supposedly there are companies scamming the guys that are fresh off the boat. In order to come over here, they demand a 10k or 20k fee from the new driver. They have the drivers by the short hairs, because the program allows them to bring over their relatives in 6 months. Companies then have a hammer over the sucker. If they complain about anything, condition of truck, pay, whatever, poof, they and their family get punted back home.
Now I don't have first hand knowledge of that scam, but I have read many mainstream legit sites stating this as happening. Including the sites that the immigration industry runs.
Any wonder why most of the ads now state, no experience needed, team work, and must have a visa?
A lot say they have 10 LMIA spots open. Gee, as per what's said on the government ministry that runs the program, a if a company is forced to apply for this, it's on an as needed basis. So someone's making money giving 10 blank LMIAs. The program used to be called LMO.
So report your experiences of any of that here too.canadian Thanks this. -

Should send them to Nunavut to work. They would not be so pleased with Canada after a visit to the grocery store up there

The rich and their lapdog politicians are laughing at you. They will stymie your efforts by simply letting in a few hundred thousand more drivers from india.
