Yeah its pretty bad. Overhead signs in Charlotte are saying only emergency personnel is allowed on I-40 W of statesville. Even though google maps says you can make it to Hickory(which is about an hour east of Asheville). None of the side roads or back roads are accessible. Im supposed to pick a load up Wednesday in Lenoir NC. I was gonna stay in Newport TN across from the Loves Thursday night......so glad I didnt as Newport is underwater also.

Yes you cannot get into or out of Asheville on any local or state roads. Only way accessible is by air..

Yes we were going to Beech Mountain/Blowing Rock(before the storm)...... its underwater and blowing rock was hit by a Tornado also on Thursday.

Had I had an ELD I would've been staying near the NC/TN line that day. Instead, I went home. I usually stay across from the Loves at exit 432 or I go off one of the exit ramps through the gorge...... I knew about the storm coming but really didnt hear anything about the rain that was coming to the mountains
