I bought my second truck.its 2009 Western star 4900fa.has Detroit 60 series 14.0l 515hp with 13speed and 3.73 gears.i been doing alot of research on these trucks couldn’t find much.i want to know what kind of maintenance issues i should be expecting from the drivetrain itself and the truck side?what are some common things that i should be aware of?common parts tht needs replacing?
How are they on fuel mileage. And im still learning everything i can abt the 14l Detroits.how well do these engines perform and durability?and the frame has little bit rust.anybody recommends any shops where i can take and have it sand blasted and painted.

Series 60 was available in 14L and 12.7L pre-EGR and 14L with EGR.
