Because I would rather be the one to decide whether I want them on or not. It is also next to impossible to flash a guy over if the headlights are on dim anyways. If an when the batteries go dead, it's a lot easier on the truck if you dont HAVE to haev the headlights on as soon as you push in the parking brake.
The list is nigh on endless....

That sounds complicated! But Martin is determined! I wish you well! How is she running now that she is all painted up with a new bumper and stuff? Thanks.

    Exactly! I'll second that.
I once was stuck in a replacement International (13 letter manure spreader) with "always on" running lights/headlights.
Impossible to cut them off to flash a driver over, after he passed you.
And I refrain from/despise using high beams to do it.

It took me maybe 20 minutes, and was worth every single minute.
The directions have been posted by Cetane though, and are available on here already.

As a company driver, failure of truck batteries is not my problem. I'll just call road service to drop new ones in and dispatch for another appt.

I hate to be difficult but in my time modification of company equipment was grounds for being fired.

    JReding Thanks this.
