I have a 2006 star 4900. The charging system charges to 13.1. Afterwards it goes all the way to the 11 mark before coming on , but it seems to be tri kal charging, also when I run the apu it went to 14.3 one night and 12.3 the next 2 , batteries were all tested as good , any thoughts ?

Could be any number of things. Failing alternator/voltage regulator, faulty voltmeter gauge, wiring issue to voltmeter gauge, poor connections on the alternator circuit.

I had the same problem. I cleaned up all connections at the batteries, the grounds on cab and frame, and most important the connections on the firewall under the plastic cover where there a two 100 amp solid fuses
