This trucker at a truckstop added a wheel chock on his driver side steer to back up on so that his sleeper would be angled downward
I could see his truck leaning at a distance so I had to see if he had a flat or ran over something then saw it was on purpose.
What a great idea

lol , great idea
I can't sleep either when the ground is too unlevel . I end up switching sides which drives me nuts and when I awake mid-sleep I'm usually dizzy like a drunk person when I stand upzigstar, TruckRunner and truadvocate Thank this. -
Dump your air bags & call it a night

Maybe he just needed to crawl up under his truck to fix something, I got a Volvo and I have to shimmy my big butt under there with the full fairings.. lol
Bakerman Thanks this. -
That's really bad to point load that tire like that. Better off getting full bearing by putting three 2x4's side by side and stacking maybe two 2x6's and stacking so the whole tire is putting its weight on the wood instead of just a few square inches for hours at a time like that.
The video does not feature a steer tire but the concept is the same--

I find it a lot easier to just take an extra blanket and double it up on the downhill side of my mattress. That way I'm not dealing with chocking my tire in the dark on a urine covered parking lot.

I can't sleep with my head below my body. Never could, never will.
I cut a 3/4" piece of plywood to fit under the mattress and carry a couple of 2' 2x4's to put under the head end to level the mattress. Worked for 20 years.
I would probably forget to get out and remove the wedge block when i needed to leave, so i would need to constantly replace them. -
