Hello people my name is Marcus i am 22yrs old i recently just graduated from Southwestern truck driving school here in phx, AZ . like 2 weeks ago:biggrin_25525:.. i have been looking around for some local class A and B jobs here in the phoenix area but they all want experience, so i'm thinking about going otr or driving Regional... I have contacted some companies online and filled out my info online.. So far western express called me and Warner (Sucks_), SO yeah i am also looking at Gordan trucking, and i also applied for Conway freight. Western express wants me to do (OTR Flatbed) for them, but i am not sure about that... :biggrin_2554: anyways i refuse to start with Cr england, swift,, and crappy pay companies.. so Yeah what do you guys think i should do? any advice. ON SOME MORE COMPANIES that hires CDL GRADS thnx.

ps. Clean Record no accidents and no tickets

You don't have many choices as a recent grad. Find a job that gets you home every few weeks (Western Express has a terminal in phoenix). Your not going to find a better paying job unless you have a year or so of exp.

Crete, Knight. The first year you will have to take what you can get. Good luck.

Flatbed isn't hard work! Secure your load, tarp if needed and boogie on down the road.

Flatbed isn't hard work at all! If it was, there wouldn't be so many flatbedders. If you want a decent paycheck, then go flatbed or tanker. If you don't really care about the paychecks, then take what you can get with some mega refrigerated carrier and enjoy your ramen noodles. I loved flatbedding and the only reason I quit it is there is more money in tanker.

System Transport has a terminal in Phoenix and it's high quality company.
Also, apply with Melton Truck Lines and also look at trans-system website.

Contact Schneider about tanker work in your area.

Watkins & Shepard has flatbed & van and a terminal in Phoenix.
