What do I look for in a flatbed carrier?

1. Decent, reliable equipment. I don't need a show queen, just a truck and trailer that will do the job every day.

2. Assigned trailer. I HATE having to drag a trailer to the tire shop because the last driver dumped it with three flat tires!

3. Conestoga trailer. I don't tarp anymore.

4. Steady customers with steady, fair rates.

5. Percentage pay. I don't do the CPM scam.

6. Reasonable, experienced dispatch.

7. Decent benefits.

8. Home weekends. For more than a flat 34. I bust tail all week (generally burning 60-65 hours in five days), I'm gonna have a reasonable amount of time to reset the truck and recharge my own batteries before I head back into battle again.

 

We pay $50 for tarping, most guys are home at least every 7 days, 25% line haul for company drivers, 80/20% for Owner operators, assigned truck and trailer for company drivers, (curtainside and flatbed) O/O weekly rental for trailers, and we cover dashcams and liability and cargo insurance... Regional and OTR

 

I like the sound of that, maybe you should have listed the name of that company for those interested.....

i dont pay 15- 20 per tarp , and detention is 50-75 per hours after like 2-3 hours , it depends on the broker

 

50$ , no more
