I'll second that. We use 122s to haul crude oil but the Cascadias are strictly on-highway. The 122s are a little heavier but they can definitely take more of a beating than a Cascadia ever could.

    Pamela1990 and Oxbow Thank this.

Those I know who drive a 122 have been happy with them.
A cascadia is completely useless to me. Sits much too low to the ground, and built from light duty components. It is a hwy truck, not meant for the types of work we do.

    RockinChair and Oxbow Thank this.

We ended up ordering 3 new trailers, added a new fuel tanker. The gravel truck, and pup, will be going up for sale, also the Super B fuel trailers.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

Congrats and good luck to both of you. I like working with my dad too. Not very many people get that opportunity.

    Pamela1990 Thanks this.

    July 2022, maybe August.
T800, x15 set to 565 hp, 18 speed, meritor 52k full lockers, heavy frame, 230", extended day cab, 20k dana front axle with 16k springs, neway rear suspension, black, brown interior, wet kit, single 170 gallon fuel tank, single passenger side stack, heavy duty offroad bumper, and a bunch more, but that's the big stuff. I always wanted a black truck, with mud colored interior, i drag a lot of mud into mine. The outside will be dirty 350 days a year being black, but finally getting my black truck. :)

Ruthless, Coffey, Elroythekid and 3 others Thank this.

Same rate his senior driver makes now, so I won't complain.
I make 41.50 for first 8, then 1.5 times to 11 hours, and double OT after 11. Usually work 12 to 14 hour days, plus I get a base pay for managing and doing the books. A normal month for me is about $17,000-20,000, plus quarterly performance bonus if I do well. My dad wants to retire, so if he does work, it should be worth his while. He will not haul logs, or equipment is all, he is tired of doing both. When in the shop, he is the cheapest labor going, seen shop rates lately.

Always been a KW and Western Star guy. T-800 and 4900 SBFA with the high hood. Gotta have the big boots on the front too.
