Correct, I have a 97 international that I would take anywhere in the country, well not california, just a pretty nice truck and mechanically sound, very nice top of the line for the day interior. I have not used it enough the last 10 years to justify keeping it, and there is never a month goes by that someone doesn't try to buy it, but there is just no reason to sell it for what it is actually worth, if I need it it can make that much in a two week period.
I am debating pulling it in and sticking some new air bags on it and running it till the insurance decides what to do with my KW. It is not a very good truck for that road, but will do in a pinch.

If youre gonna buy from a dealer, february is the hardest month to sell vehicles and is also the shortest month of the year, thus making it youre highest period of seasonal leverage. Theyve got bills due the first of every month too.
Fabulous Maximus Thanks this. -
I believe late 95-96 is the cutoff for ELD compatibily on a N14 Cummins. Not sure about Dertroit. Just went through this myself. Truck will need to have the J1708 port/ J1587 protocol. Some ELD will require a 6 to 9 pin adapter. Personally id look for a 99 model truck. Id be very cautious buying anything older the 96 if you were leasing to a carrier that required eld in older trucks. Avoid the headache or find annetter carrier.

It's the model year of the truck. Not the engine.
