Does anyone have knowledge or experience on this? I am in Utah. I have a 20k to 30k budget for a truck. Would diesel be the only option or is heavy duty gas fine? How do I get consistent work? Has anybody just used a business loan for all these expenses?
    Thanks

Here's something if you have some extra cash or can do it later:
    Sleeper Berth - Woodhouse
    https://www.woodhouse.com/sleeper_berth
This Compliance Summary is intended to help familiarize inspectors and officers in the field with a Sleeper Berth unit which is being installed and utilized by “Hotshot” carriers in one-ton pickups. Woodhouse Sleeper Berth, Inc. (WSB) has developed a Sleeper Berth conversion.

Ive posted about this in the past. Hotshot is probably the most volatile market in trucking. Rates are terrible. You limit yourself to light freight and only certain markets. You'll run as many miles as a semi without the same pay. Its not easier than running a semi, you can't do it part time.

Its not as easy as "buy a truck and run freight".

What do you mean, there’s plenty of freight. Every SD partial, or any partial for that matter or any light load has turned into a hotshot load. Just look at all the successful hotshotters on YouTube it’s easy money
