The letter D on DAC probably stands for driver or driving. I don't even have a guess as to what the A and C stand for.
What do the letters D, A, and C stand for on the acronym DAC?

Drive-a-check is what i found on googling it

Sounds kinda hokey. Betting it was Drug Alcohol Combined (or something similar) database that has grown to encompass more info on drivers. HireRight states it is a proprietary product/service.
Perhaps someone thought Drug Alcohol Combined report was not PC, and just told everyone at HireRight to call it the DAC. -
dptrucker is correct.

Likely it means nothing.
When it started out it might have had a meaning, but as it morphed and became the report it is today it lost any meaning, but the company didn't want to keep changing the name to avoid confusion so it just simply means "the report designed to screw a driver" or "the report designed to save us from bad drivers" depending on which side of the aisle you are on. -
Driver Accumulated Citations report or as A21CAV rightly said, "Destroy A Career."
A21CAV Thanks this. -
I don't see it as accumulated citations. As see it as TALKING SMACK.
