Probably anytime after you're considered a permanent employee.
Here's a Tampa ad for US Foods: Click -> Apply On Company Site
"Minimum six months commercial driving experience or three months of foodservice or food and beverage delivery experience required."
This may not apply to you since you'll already be working for US Foods.
You can talk to your boss, but I wouldn't say anything until you've completed any probation period.
What do you think of us foods ?

A Class B job at US Foods is a great way to get your foot in the door and you’re almost guaranteed to get into a tractor trailer at some point. When I worked there we had multiple drivers who started off that way, and they were even pushing the non-CDL van driver to study for his Class A. Pay is probably going to suck at first compared to the full Class A driver, but it would be worth it imo. And yes, they do allow transfers, probably after your first 90 days but I’d wait until you have at least 6 months experience with them.
FlaSwampRat, Chinatown and Jmelendez1223 Thank this. -
So what they mean about paying 215 like im lost with that is that even good ? And they even told me about the on call on days off tooFlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
